100 Beers in 100 Days - Breakfast Of Champions

Sorry about leaving everyone hanging yesterday. I couldn't bring myself to blog after spending pretty much the whole day on the computer dealing with Blackberry trauma. It seems the numb skulls programmers at Blackberry accidentally omitted some necessary files when creating the software installation CD. So here I am back in action and ready to do two beers today.

Day 54 - Young's Oatmeal Stout

I was a little hesitant at first about this beer made from oatmeal, but then I figured what the heck. Oatmeal beer has gotta be a better breakfast than that lumpy white junk from Quaker. So I cracked open the bottle and took a big swig. It's thick, and malty. I can taste some bitter-y coffee flavor to it as well. Not just any coffee, but that nice roasted Juan Valdez stuff. which is good since coffee goes good with your morning oatmeal. If I was a big fan of these thick, dark beers I would probably rate it higher, but since I am not I will give it a 6.

Top of the morning to ya!

Day 55 -Old Peculiar

(I don't feel like getting a pic of the label. It's rather plain anyways.)

In Masham England they make beer that matches it's peculiar name. It's got a little bit of a fruit taste, yet it's also yeast-y. I can't think of much else to say, so I will just leave it at this.

Cheers!

Youngs is good stuff. You should try their double chocolate stout.
